My introduction to scar therapy began with one of the most common — yet often overlooked — types of scars: C-section scars.

Scar Therapy With India From Wimbledon Osteopath
Working with women during postnatal recovery, I quickly realised that many people were being told their discomfort, tightness, numbness, or pain after surgery was simply something they had to “put up with” and nothing could be done to help. However after completing the Restore Scar Therapy C-section course I started to see beneath the surface, scar tissue was often affecting movement, posture, core function, and confidence far more than many women expected.
As I began treating C-section scars, I saw first-hand how targeted scar therapy could make a meaningful difference even after one session. Gentle hands-on techniques, education, movement, and self-care strategies frequently helped improve mobility, reduce sensitivity, and reconnect mums with their bodies after surgery.
That early experience sparked a much deeper interest in the complexity of scar tissue and the body’s healing process.
